Addictive TV at the National Theatre, London

Sat 01.11.2008

For the fourth year running, this summer saw Addictive TV’s live outdoor show take to the National Theatre on the Southbank in London. This clip shows an excerpt from their AV set, and includes their bootleg ska-breaks remix of Laurel & Hardy. This year has also seen Addictive TV remix the Beijing 2008 Olympic feeds live for the national Austrian TV broadcaster ORF as part of a groundbreaking interactive project. Central to their set-up in Vienna, Austria, was the SVM-1000 AV mixer, along with two Edirol V4s (one modified to take audio), a DJM-1000, three DVJ-1000s, an EFX-1000, and a laptop running VJamm Pro! Addictive TV’s Graham believes that remixing events like the Olympics will definitely become more widespread in the future, and that AV remixes will follow a similar development to DJs’ audio remixes. Addictive TV have just finished remixing the new movie Max Payne for 20th Century Fox, so look out for that one, while on 18th October the guys will headline the Pioneer stage at the DJ/trade show BPM, held at Donington, UK.
