Following on from our previous (studio) interview with DJ Sarah Main, DJsounds caught up with the flourishing Pacha resident during the summer at her villa in Ibiza. And, from her terrace, as the sun set over the isle, she guided us through a few of her favourite features of the brand new CDJ-400 USB/CD deck, a fun, compact DJ device designed mainly for home use/house parties. Sarah started out her career in Sydney, Australia, and has since gone on to spin sensational sets all around the globe. Winner of the Best Ibiza DJ title at the 2006 Ibiza DJ Awards, she is also a regular Galaxy FM radio show host and has been a resident DJ at Pacha Ibiza since 2001. Supported by fellow Pacha headliners Pete Tong and Erick Morillo, and having mixed various Pacha compilations, Sarah’s glamorous style and irrisistable music is said to ‘epitomize the sound of Pacha’. Photographed in this clip, the first in a 4-part DJsounds’ series, by top shot Dan Reid, Sarah furthermore stars in the latest Pioneer CDJ-400 publicity campaign. So click on now to check out Sarah’s personal favourite functions, including the Loop Divide and Hot Loop tools. The CDJ-400 will be available from January 2008.
