Known to many of you as Radio Slave, the quiet, deliberate and thoughtful guy behind those mountains of amazing remixes and global adoration by the underground community is known by his mum as Matt Edwards.
We just uncovered this interview, blew the dust off it and uploaded it when we found it in the murky depths of a forgotten hard drive.
Shot in Sofia, Bulgaria, in November 2008, this interview came at a poignant time as Radio Slave and fellow tech house technician, Dubfire, had slayed Ibiza and beyond with their massive remix/concept/tool, Grindhouse.
In the interview, Radio Slave reveals how the project came about and how it blew up. He also tells us how and why some of his remixes and tracks are so long. Club footage comes from Sofia disco institution Chervilo.
He is constantly touring and calls Berlin home, often holding his Rekids parties at the Berlin rave temple, Berghain, the next one coming up at the end of the month on 26 February, with label mate, Spencer Parker.
