Timo Garcia's journey to gritty East London via Paris with Daft Punk in the 90's and Leeds in the early noughties has deeply affected his attitude and music, and left an indelible imprint.
In the clip here he recounts how things have changed over those years and how DJing has changed with the advent of the CDJ-2000.
Timo's debut album, 'Wonderlust Bug', which was released last May on his own label, Berwick Street Records, had praise heaped on it from an all-star collection of acts such as Sasha, Laurent Garnier, Timo Maas and M.A.N.D.Y. A double CD of remixes now follows from production legends DJ Pierre, Lützenkirchen, Eric Kupper and James Harcourt, to name but a few.
Garcia's passion for all things musical makes it a pleasure to DJ, and he continues his residency at MOS and has gigs coming up at: 26 March - 22.00 - Yello @ Mynt - Belfast 27 March - 22.00 - Factory - Leeds 28 March - 18.00 - Gigalum (Sunday Session) - London 2 April - 22.00 - Kuala Lumpur 16 April - 22.00 - Ministry of Sound - London 17 April - 22.00 - Honey Club - Brighton 24 April - 22.00 - Factory - Leeds 18 June - 22.00 - Ministry of Sound - London 11 July - 14.00 - Dex - Brixton 28 August - South West Four - London
